2011 Judges' Biographies

Diane Robertson

Diane became seriously interested in photography in the mid 1980s. A course with the New York Institute of Photography was valuable in helping with photo techniques, composition and technical matters. In 1991, she joined the Stony Brook Camera Club in Norfolk, MA, and benefited from the excellent critiques of the competition judges. Upon moving to Cape Cod, she joined the Cape Cod Viewfinders Camera Club, and was invited to become a member of the Massachusetts Camera Naturalists. Diane is also a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Association in photography and watercolor.

The Photographic Society of America has provided Diane with opportunities to compete in photography on an international level, and she has achieved 4 star ratings in nature and open categories as well as winning numerous medals. She received PSA’s Kimber/ Vogan award in 2002 for the most improvement in the nature category. Subsequently, she has been asked to judge several of the PSA international salons and local camera club competitions.

Nature has always been a strong interest for Diane, but she also enjoys general subjects, photo travel and abstract/creative photography. Her work has been exhibited locally, and has appeared in calendars and magazines.
