George W. Glennie Memorial Nature Salon:
May 6, 1982
Report:
On May 6, 1982 we hosted the second annual George W. Glennie Memorial Nature Salon, which was judged by Evelyn M. Boos, APSA, MNEC, Albert W. Bussewitz, MNEC, and Earl L. Kochenderfer. Evelyn is a Diamond Star Nature Division Exhibitor, Lecturer and Judge. Albert is Resident Naturalist at John Doscher's Country School of Photography, Lecturer and Judge. Earl is a Two-Star Nature Division Exhibitor, Lecturer and Judge.
Twenty-one clubs from all the New England states except little Rhody submitted slides. Though we also submitted slides, the club was not eligible for Club awards. However, our 224 points would have given us an H.M. The top clubs were Easthampton - 235, Greater Lynn - 232, Wilbraham - 226.
Though our members were not eligible for a top award, however, Dick Morton won a special award for Best Landscape with "Blue Moon". And Merit Awards were won by John Lowe, 25 points for "Elk" and Kurt Schlicht, 25 points for "Black Swallowtail".
