Award winning prints may be entered in NECCC, PSA, or interclub competitions, subject to the rules of those competitions.

    4. In the event that there are less than three (3) entries in a category, the judge will assign a point score, but no ribbons will be awarded. The entries may be submitted again during the season to be judged and scored, with a chance to win an award.

    5. ONE print may be entered in each of the following categories : ASSIGNED, COLOR GENERAL, COLOR MINI, B&W GENERAL, B&W MINI, and CREATIVE CONTEMPORARY.

    6. B&W GENERAL and B&W MINI print categories are for straight monochrome or toned prints. One additional color may be added, for example by hand coloring or selective toning.

    7. B&W MINI-PRINT is a category limited to an 8" x 10" maximum print on a 11" x 14" maximum mount. It can be printed by the submitting member or be commercially printed from the member's negative.

    8. COLOR MINI-PRINT is a category limited to an 8" x 10" maximum print on a 11" x 14" maximum mount. It can be printed by the submitting member or be commercially printed from the member's negative or slide.

Prints eligible for submission into this category include, but are not limited to: abstracts, solarizations, posterizations, montages, collages, lenticular 3 dimensional images, photograms, photolithographs, image or emulsion transfers, image manipulations (darkroom/computer), hand or computer colored, the product of various antiquated processes, etc. The maker may employ ANY METHOD to produce the print providing the initial image was captured or recorded BY THE MAKER using light sensitive material (paper/film/emulsion) or equipment employing a light sensitive device or detector (digital camera/digital camera back/ scanner). All parts of the image must be an original artwork of the maker. Due to the almost endless variety and mix of processes that could be utilized to produce images for this category, judges are advised to evaluate prints in this division on their ARTISTIC MERITS, not on how the end result was achieved.

    12. ASSIGNED CATEGORY is open to any size color or black and white print up to 16" x 20" on any size mount up to 16" x 20". It can be printed by the submitting member or be commercially printed from the member's negative, slide, or digital image. All other categories are "open".

    13. Prints on a wood mount or in a glass frame are DISQUALIFIED.

    14. Prints must have the category and title on the REVERSE side of the mount. Maker's names will not be on the print. Each maker will be assigned a competition number for the year; this number must be on the back on the print. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

    15. Prints may be submitted at any meeting prior to the due date (normally 2 weeks before the competition), or mailed to the Print Chairperson.

    16. Monthly ribbons will be awarded on the basis of the number of entries in a category, but no more than 50% may be winners: 3 entries - 1 ribbon; 4 or 5 entries - 2 ribbons; 6 or 7 entries - 3 ribbons; 8 to 14 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 1 H.M.
