CREATIVE CONTEMPORARY |
CREATIVE CONTEMPORARY is a category open
to any size color or B&W print on any size mount up to 16"
x 20". This category is an "anything goes" division
reserved for images that DO NOT depict subject matter as a person
would NORMALLY see it. Prints eligible for submission into this
category include, but are not limited to: abstracts, solarizations,
posterizations, montages, collages, lenticular 3 dimensional
images, photograms, photolithographs, image or emulsion transfers,
image manipulations (darkroom/computer), hand or computer colored,
the product of various antiquated processes, etc. The maker
may employ ANY METHOD to produce the print providing the initial
image was captured or recorded using light sensitive material
(paper/film/emulsion) or equipment employing a light sensitive
device or detector (digital camera/digital camera back/scanner).
Due to the almost endless variety and mix of processes that
could be utilized to produce images for this category, judges
are advised to evaluate prints in this division on their ARTISTIC
MERITS, not on how the end result was achieved.
