"I found out about camera clubs from some friends at work who were members of Assabet Valley Camera Club. I attended a meeting there, and thought it was great. That club was a little far from home, however, and so I began looking around. I saw a little flyer at a camera shop describing Merrimack Valley Camera Club, and I decided to check it out.

I started attending meetings, and I really liked the people and was impressed by their photography skills. I didn't enter any competitions the first year. Then I began entering slide competitions. For years I shot mostly slides, but in the last couple of years I have switched almost entirely to digital."
