"I found out about the camera club after having an exhibit
at "Art In The Park" in Andover, Massachusetts.
I received a phone call from the president telling me about
the club and asking if I'd be willing to judge a print competition.
I declined because I didn't feel qualified to evaluate other
photographer's work, but joined the club instead.
It's great having other folks around who derive a great deal
of pleasure from using their camera. No matter what your photographic
interest, there are members who enjoy "your" kind
of photography, and are eager to share tips and information."
"8 megapixels? You're crunching too much data."

Nature close-up, sometimes
VERY close. No matter how small the subject, if you can SEE
it, you can photograph it. I enjoy the challenge of rigging
up photo equipment to get images using techniques that can only
be described as "doing things the hard way". Much
of the satisfaction I get from photography is having someone
look at my images and ask "How'd you ever do that with
a point & shoot?"
Fallow Deer . Recently, I've had the pleasure of getting
some really interesting images of Fallow Deer, photos that
are almost startling due to the short distance between myself
and the subject. The challenge here is to get sharp photos
handheld without spooking the deer. Patience and more than
just a little luck has rewarded me with images I'll treasure
forever.
Nova Scotia . It's almost been a running joke in the club.
If a Nova Scotia photo appears in competition, it must be
mine. Not true, but thirty years worth of trips to the area
around the Bay of Fundy have given me quite a bit of subject
material to work with in my digital darkroom.
