"I found the camera club by attending a lecture in the Andover Library in about 2004. It was an interesting evening and the club sounded like a good place to learn so I joined. I feel like a kindergartener among graduate students, but I think my shots are slowly getting better.
My first camera was a Kodak Brownie when I was about ten. After college, when the Army sent me to Korea, I picked up my first 35mm, an Argus C-3 from the local PX. This sufficed until the early '80's when I bought a Minolta and several interchangeable lenses. I stayed with the Minolta body because of the cost of the lenses, but a couple of years ago got the Minolta Maxxum 7-D digital. I'm into photoshop CS-3 and print my photos on an Epson 4000. I've taken a few night courses at NESOP but still am strictly an amateur." |
