Light Settings on Digital Cameras

You may have noticed that the colors in your photos might not be
coming out as you expected. Check out some of the images below and
notice the various effects that different settings caused in both
an indooor and outdoor setting.
- The first image was taken with the "Automatic White Balance"
option selected and was taken in front of a black felt background.
- The second image also had the "Automatic White Balance"
selected but had a white background.
- The third image was taken with "Tungsten" selected,
with the same white background.
Notice not only the color shifts in the background...but
in the color of the flower itself!
- The first image was taken with "Tungsten" selected.
Notice the 'blueish' cast to the photo.
- The second image was taken with the "Daylight" option
selected. Notice how much more realistic the colors appear.
