Create an Inexpensive Studio at Home!
Black Felt and good light can work wonders

The images below were created with a 'makeshift' studio, and yield nice results at an affordable price.

    1. The first image shows how the photographer selected a sunny location in the house, and put a simple potted plant on a stool on a table. Then tacked up a large piece of black felt behind it. And adjusted the intensity of the sunlight coming in through the window to the right with a large piece of white foam core. Instant studio!

    2. Using a tripod to steady the camera, the photographer took close ups of a variety of potted plants available from a local supermarket.

    3. Notice the intensity of the colors. And in this case, and odd number of blooms works well, with the main focus on the center.

Feel free to experiment with lighting, backgrounds and subjects.
